The Sovereign Military Order of Malta has an almost millennial history of dedication and service to the poorest, weakest and sickest. In the Principality of Monaco and from the Principality of Monaco, various humanitarian and social initiatives have been promoted by the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta and by the Monegasque Association of the Sovereign Order of Malta.

Also in 2024, from the Principality of Monaco, we will seek to help as many young people as possible with the “Make a WISH to the Order of Malta“. The project concerns mothers, fathers or doctors caring for young people – living in Monaco or in regions of the world affected by wars or natural disasters – with difficult diseases, requiring special care or surgery of significant difficulty or rarity, who may contact the Embassy of the Order of Malta in the Principality to present their situation and needs. Priority will be given to cases involving those with most necessity.

“Make a WISH to the Order of Malta” was created in 2015 and was financed for the first time by the proceeds of a Charity dinner organized successfully in the Principality, to help 1.500 children in areas hard hit by the 2014 floods in Serbia.

Over the years, different actions, or better, the “WISHES” were expressed and realized in the World.

The requests of these cases, or these “WISHES”, must be addressed to the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Monaco, and accompanied by a detailed description of the diseases endured, written by the attending physician and/or the hospital where the care was given until that time (reports should be in French or English).
