The Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Principality of Monaco, Umberto di Capua, took part in the celebrations of “Sovereign’s Day”, Monaco’s national day.
In memory of his father, Prince Albert II kept the date of November 19, the day of the enthronement of Rainier III.
The national holiday began with the celebration of a Te Deum in the cathedral of Monaco, followed by a gala evening and the performance of “Lucia di Lammermoor” by Gaetano Donizetti in the Grimaldi Forum. Prince Albert II participated with his family. This year’s event, due to the health emergency, was decidedly sober out of respect for the victims of the Covid-19 pandemic.
