Principality of Monaco, 16 October 2025
From the heart of the Mediterranean, the Principality of Monaco launches a solidarity initiative that blends humanitarian diplomacy and international cooperation to bring hope to newborns in Bethlehem.
The Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Monaco, in collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Monaco, San Marino, Milano Morimondo Abbazia, Dubai (District 2452), and Bethlehem, has launched a project focused on neonatal health. The goal? To donate two state-of-the-art neonatal incubators, worth €45,000, to the Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem, managed by the Order of Malta.

A vital hospital for the region The only facility equipped to care for premature babies born before the 32nd week, Holy Family Hospital serves over 60% of the district’s infants, achieving a survival rate close to 100%. The new incubators will enhance the hospital’s life-saving capabilities.
A global commitment After months of coordination among international partners, the project is ready to move into its operational phase with the purchase of the equipment. Delivery is scheduled for spring 2026, with representatives from the Rotary Clubs and the Order of Malta in attendance.
“This project is not just tangible aid to a suffering region; it reflects Monaco’s spirit: small in size, but immense in solidarity. Thanks to the Rotary Clubs for their commitment: together, we are building a future of hope,” said H.E. Alberto di Luca, Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Monaco.
A sign of hope An initiative born in the Principality that will bring new life to the heart of the Holy Land, where every child is a symbol of the future.
