On Wednesday, 13 May 2026, the Salle Garnier in Monte-Carlo hosted, under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, the exceptional concert of the laureate of the 58th International Violin Competition Premio Paganini. Young violinist Aozhe ZHANG performed under the baton of Maestro Alessandro BONATO with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, interpreting the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Niccolò Paganini and the Symphony No. 4 “Italian” by Felix Mendelssohn, before a full house and a distinguished audience.

Her Excellency Ms Daniela MEMMO d’AMELIO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sovereign Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta to the Principality of Monaco, attended the evening and had the honour of meeting violinist Aozhe ZHANG alongside His Serene Highness Prince Albert II.

Founded in Genoa, the Premio Paganini is one of the most prestigious international violin competitions in the world, whose commitment to promoting artistic excellence and emerging musical talent resonates fully with the humanist and cultural values of the Order of Malta.
