On the occasion of the historic apostolic visit of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to the Principality of Monaco on 28 March 2026, Her Excellency Ms Daniela MEMMO d’AMELIO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sovereign Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta to the Principality of Monaco, was present at the ceremonies, including at the Stade Louis II for the celebration of the Pontifical Mass and on the Rock.

This visit, the first ever made by a reigning Pontiff to the Principality of Monaco, holds particular significance for the Order of Malta, whose bonds with the Catholic Church and the Holy See lie at the very heart of its vocation of service and hospitality.
