Embassy of the Order of Malta to Monaco, 27th November
On 27th November, the elegant setting of Palazzo Parigi, in the heart of Milan, hosted an exclusive Charity Dinner organized by the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Principality of Monaco. Over 300 people from Milan, the Lombardy region, the Principality of Monaco, and France attended the event.

The evening had a noble purpose: to support the Holy Land Emergency project, dedicated to the territories of the Holy Land and the Hospital of the Holy Family in Bethlehem, managed by the Order of Malta. This project, under the patronage of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, represented by Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, aims to provide food support and medical assistance to the most vulnerable communities in the region.
The event was attended by prominent figures from the Monegasque and Italian business worlds, world champions in sports from Monaco and Italy, managers from the Principality and Milan, hospital presidents, bankers and bank partners. However, the true bond of the evening was the widespread sentiment of friendship and appreciation for the activities of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
During his welcoming speech, Ambassador Alberto di Luca offered a poignant reflection, comparing the tragic war scenarios in those lands to the reality of the evening: “The attendees have brought into this room the ‘weapons’ of altruism and generosity, wearing these elegant outfits as their uniforms.”
As a centerpiece, a “Haute Couture” panettone by Davide Longoni, dressed in the majestic fabrics of Sandrina Bonetti Rubelli, on the left of the photo, with a paper flower hand-made by Marta Tullio Nardi, on the right of the photo, according to the idea of Marialuisa Torre, second on the right. On the photo also Emanuela Vavassori di Luca.
The evening was enriched by moments of levity thanks to the virtuosity of Magician Eddy il Mago and, above all, by in-depth discussions and direct testimonies about the tangible impact of the Holy Land Emergency project. The remote intervention of Father Gabriel Abuna from the Catholic Parish of the Holy Family in Gaza was particularly listened to. The initiative sparked enthusiasm and raised awareness among participants about the importance of international solidarity, expression of the Humanitarian Diplomacy of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
Thanks to the commitment and generosity of the participants, the Charity Dinner was an extraordinary success, once again demonstrating how the Principality of Monaco and Milan know how to unite for initiatives of great humanitarian value. Between donations for attending the Charity Dinner and funds raised through the silent auction, the total amount entirely dedicated to the Holy Land Emergency project reached €170,000.
