As every year, this 19th November, the Principality of Monaco celebrated the National Day of Monaco, the Sovereign\u2019s Day. This beloved celebration dates back to the reign of Prince Charles III, when the Principality became a modern State, with its national flag, diplomatic representation abroad and treaties signed with foreign powers. The National Day celebrates the independence of Monaco as a Sovereign State and His Serene Highness the reigning Prince.<\/p>\n

A very intense and eventful day, which began with the solemn Mass of Te <\/i>Deum in the Cathedral Notre-Dame Immacul\u00e9e <\/i>of Monaco, celebrated by Archbishop Dominique Marie David of Monaco, and concelebrated by the Apostolic Nuncio Monsignor Martin Krebs, with the presence of the whole Princely Family and the Principality\u2019s Notables.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shortly afterwards, on the wonderful Place du Palais<\/i>, the military parade and the ceremony for the award of the merit medals took place, as well as a short concert given to the Prince by the Orchestra of the Prince\u2019s Guards and by the Ch\u0153ur de l\u2019Arm\u00e9e fran\u00e7aise.<\/i><\/p>\n
